Our Story
For over 800 years, Franciscan Friars have followed the call of Jesus Christ, to share the hope of the Gospel around the world. Today, the Franciscan Mission Association continues this history, financially supporting the missions of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the former Soviet Union, and even right here in the United States of America.
Our Gratitude
In 2016 and 2017, the Franciscan Mission Association supported our friars in Uganda. Made possible through the generous donations of friends and benefactors, these gifts helped put glass windows in the newly-built church in Matugga and supported the formation program there, training the next generation of Franciscans in Uganda. On behalf of everyone one in Uganda this grant will serve, we thank you.
Our Goal
Thank you, dear friends of the missions. We have successfully raised the funds for three wells! With the help of a generous benefactor who made a challenge grant of one full well ($6,000), we we able to generate matching funds to reach our goal of $18,000!
We are currently making arrangements for their installation. We will report back soon with details!
